The East Midlands Airport Skills Academy has been organised by the Employment Network Manager to provide all work force development needs of all companies on the airport site, and to include the local communities also.

Set up in 2007 the Skills Academy run a drop in centre for Skills for life run by Stephenson College for anyone looking to improve their English and Maths. These courses are fully funded by the Learning and Skills Council.

Our Colleges and Training Providers are able to deliver Level 1 and 2 NVQ qualifications in the workplace to anyone wishing to improve their abilities or to gain a vocational qualification in order to assist them in their personal development. These Courses are also fully funded by the Learning and Skills Council.

Higher Education courses from, Level 3 up to Level 5 are available in almost any occupational area.

We are also able to offer bespoke courses as required.
